Fresh News: "Boundary" Smith Rock State Park - Custom Framed Pinhole fine art photography by obscura GRAPHICS
Pinhole photography is an unusual art form. Simple Yet Complex. And yes, photography is an art form! From our friends at Wikipedia: A pinhole camera is a simple camera without a lens but with a tiny aperture, a pinhole – effectively a light-proof box with a small hole in one side. Light from a scene passes through the aperture and projects an inverted image on the opposite side of the box, which is known as the camera obscura effect.
Often and is the case here, the camera has no viewing lens, no lens, and exposure is not a preset but rather a manual adjustment with a manual shutter movement. No digital image -- you develop the "analog" film, print the image or scan the negative and then print the image.
"Boundary" an Artist Proof fine art print 15"x 15" was captured with a Nopo pinhole camera ( http://nopocameras.com/en/about-us/ ) using Kodak Portra 160 color film with a 4-5 second exposure. The 120mm film negative was developed, scanned and then printed by High Desert Frameworks' wide format digital printer.
