Like many of you we asking “Where to next and what’s next.” We are not 100% sure what is next but we will get through this. Not only will we get through this but we will be stronger. Daily we take the opportunity to reflect, be reasonable, and thankful. Yes, thankful. Thankful for a supportive community as we are all in this together. It seems we have all been impacted by COVID-19, some more than others. Our hearts go out to those directly impacted.

The Governor’s 2-week freeze in November 2020 is over and we are open to near capacity but with some restrictions. There are no changes to the requirement of face coverings and physical distancing requirements of 6 feet or more. We will let you know where you can wait. We are using this post to keep you updated about the impacts of COVID-19 to High Desert Frameworks, open hours, pickup and delivery options along with other topics of importance. Please visit this post as we will update it as things change. The banner bar on the top of our website will link to this post until it is no longer necessary.
As we continue to remain open, we work to keep ourselves and shop sanitized along with practicing the catch work phrase of “social distancing.” If you have projects feel free to call. November 18, 2020: WE ARE OPEN! Oregon Governor Kate Brown instituted a 2 Week Freeze for retail and other industries. How does it impact High Desert Frameworks? As a retail business, we are allowed to stay open but are limited to 75% capacity of our retail showroom. This means we can see no more than 2 groups of people with a max of 4-5 people in the showroom at any time. We can help you with your digital printing and custom frame designs and will work with each of you based on the state requirements. There are no changes to the requirement of face coverings and physical distancing requirements of 6 feet or more. We will let you know where you can wait. As of July 1, 2020 … The State of Oregon has required you to wear masks, face shields, or face coverings at this location unless an exemption applies. We will wear face coverings as dictated by the County and the State of Oregon.

Our Ask: As sons and daughters of veterans and parents of a service member we ask you remember those that paid the ultimate price for the security and safety of our democracy. Memorial Day was set aside to honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. On this Monday please take a moment and honor those soldiers. Thank you!
May 15, 2020: We are open normal hours and providing our full range of services including retail sales, custom framing, digital services such as scanning, digital photo restorations, small and large format printing. We have fully sanitized our retail storefront and scheduled enhanced cleaning several times a day and after every customer visit. We have posted signs approved by the State of Oregon with information on COVID-19 avoidance, symptoms, and proper sanitizing. As of May 15, 2020, when we work with you we will wear face coverings as dictated by the County and the State of Oregon. You can elect not to wear a face-covering as we do not require it for our customers. We have hand sanitizing dispenser, nitrile gloves, sanitizing wipes, tissues, and single-use pens for your use. Specific areas of the shop are off-limits including our restroom. We will inform you of the area in which you may roam, marked by blue tape. Please respect the boundaries. If you need to look at moulding and mat samples on our design table we will invite you to look/approve and also ask you not to touch. At all times we will enjoy at least a 6 foot distance. Our design consultations over the last several weeks have worked great and our customers are extremely pleased with our processes, procedures, and safety protocols. Thank you for your understanding during these times and we all get used to getting back to near normal.

May 10, 2020: A very happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! Today is not your typical go out and get brunch type of day. We trust that you made a fantastic Sunday morning brunch for the Mom in your life. If you were unable to visit face to face we hope you have a great chat by phone, zoom, or facetime. These are very different times but it also means we just need to improvise, keep positive, be thankful, and encourage everyone to make the most of every moment.
As most Oregonians already know, Governor Brown and our local County are opening sections of retail stores and other aspects of the economy on May 15th. There are still some questions needing clarification on exactly what “open” means and as we get more information we will update this post.
On May 15th we will open our doors for walk-in traffic but we strongly recommend you book an appointment. If you have an appointment you will be at the head of the line and not have to wait to be allowed into our shop. We can only allow 1 person or 1 family group in the frameshop at any one time. Our retail shop is sanitized several times throughout the day and after every customer visit. We have touch-free dispenser with hand sanitizer available and ask that you use the sanitizer when you walk in. Some recent news … High Desert Frameworks announced the opening of Central Oregon’s online digital printing and framing portal located at: WWW.FRAME.PICS From Frame.Pics you can upload your digital image, crop, size and then submit for printing on a number of different mediums including photo paper, canvas, metal prints and more. We expect to offer our upload and quick framing options very shortly.

March 23, 2020: Today Monday, March 23rd we are open and waiting for Gov Brown’s directive. Open 10am to 5:30pm - regular hours. We will update you as things change. March 20, 2020: We are open running normal hours. Our suppliers are still shipping and we are still working. As we are a shop with limited public contact we plan on being open and the recommended process to ensure a safe and clean environment.
